Responsibilities

  • Forecast and maintain appropriate inventory levels for assigned categories following lean manufacturing principles
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and continuously evaluate for quality and reliability
  • Provide purchasing and supply chain support for various departments within Alkegen including but not limited to: Operations, Accounting, Receiving, Maintenance, Engineering, Customer Service, R&D, and Quality
  • Issue Supplier Scorecards and maintain the Global Risk Matrix database for assigned sites
  • Lead vendor onboardings for both plant and corporate requirements
  • Ability to set priorities, exercise professional judgment, handle confidential material, and manage a diverse workload
  • Provide purchasing and supply chain support for various departments within

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or other related fields
  • A minimum of 3 years of Purchasing, Demand Planning, and Inventory Management experience in a manufacturing setting
  • 3 years of MRP/ERP and Microsoft Office software experience
  • Must have knowledge and experience with both domestic and international shipping, domestic receiving, and the use of 3PL's.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Nice to have

  • Basic contract interpretation
  • Purchasing experience in an automotive & industrial manufacturing setting
  • Fundamental accounting and finance knowledge
  • Experience with subcontractors and off-site warehousing
  • $53,372.00 - $71,163.00
  • Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
