Responsibilities
- Collaborate with EE engineering teams to influence and align supplier product roadmaps with the company's long-term hardware strategy and product lineup.
- Secure reliable component supply and locked-in commercial terms to support both production demand and engineering builds for NPI programs across the full EE component portfolio.
- Apply deep understanding of pricing structures and cost drivers for EE components to lead cost analysis activities at the module and component level, and negotiate with suppliers to meet or beat target cost objectives.
- Own forecast alignment and supplier capacity planning to safeguard supply continuity for development, pilot, and mass production needs
- Devise and implement end-to-end sourcing strategies for custom and high-complexity silicon components (e.g., SoCs, Sensors, etc.) used in next-generation wearable consumer electronics, considering technical requirements, quality, cost, lead times, and supplier capabilities.
- Act as the central commercial owner to hardware, software, firmware, product, and design by aligning architectural decisions and technical requirements with supply chain strategy ensuring feasible, compliant, and cost-effective product solutions.
- Drive strategic supplier engagement, lead RFQ processes, commercial negotiations, and cost modeling, and run structured weekly/monthly/quarterly business reviews focused on capacity, clear‑to‑build readiness, delivery performance, quality, and cost.

Requirements
- 3-5+ years of work experience in EE or custom silicon strategic sourcing or procurement
- Proven experience in negotiating commercials and a deep understanding of should cost
- Ability to travel 25% of the time, both domestically and internationally
Nice to have
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field, Master's Degree a plus
- Background in high‑volume consumer electronics and CM/ODM/JDM manufacturing models is strongly preferred
Compensation
- San Francisco Salary Range - $151,300- $203,000
