About the role
- Possesses technical skills collects, transports, and properly disposes of trash and bio-hazardous materials following established safety protocols.
- Responsible for responding favorably to requests to adjust daily workflow or area assignments to meet facility needs.
Responsibilities
- While executing the assigned tasks, the trash/soiled linen technician will have indirect contact with patients and family and be able to professional acknowledge them and maintain a safe distance for passage.
Nice to have
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time.
- Lifting at least 50 pounds is required.
- Physical Effort required:
- Constant (67%-100%) - handling/feeling, talking, hearing, seeing
- Frequently (34%-66%) - stooping, crouching
- Occasionally (1%-33%) - lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, climbing (stairs, ladders, etc.), balancing, crawling, reaching
