About the role

Provides advice and counsel to internal customers concerning all aspects of the Reinsurance function.

2 years of relevant and progressive professional experience.
Possess and have ability to apply knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures.
Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word).
Bachelor's degree in Business, a related field, or the equivalent education and/or experience.
Solid written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
Advanced organizational and analytical skills
demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledgeable of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to applicable area of the Company's business to proactively respond to changing business environment.
Occasional travel (up to 10% of time).

Reviews and drafts reinsurance contracts in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.

Obtain reinsurance documentation in accordance with statutory timeframes.
Compare contract clauses to Company standards and state requirements.
Answer reinsurance contract related questions from Accounting and Claims.
Compile written review notes for distribution to counterparty and enforces wording compliance.
Identify risk transfer triggers to manager for possible review by Actuarial.
