Requirements

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with coextruded blown or cast film development.
  • Experience with continuous web manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with Six Sigma or structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Experience supporting product commercialization and manufacturing scale-up.
  • Experience Level
  • The position title and level will be aligned with the selected candidate's qualifications, technical expertise, and demonstrated ability to contribute to the Product Applications team.
  • Effective project management skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands.

Nice to have

  • Translate customer and market needs into technical product specifications.
  • Prepare Bills of Material (BOMs), technical documentation, and commercialization packages.
  • Interact with raw material suppliers to stay current with polymer systems, functional additives, physical property testing techniques, and various packaging and manufacturing equipment.
  • Assess current products and product lines for increasing sustainability across Amcor, which may include, downgauging, carbon emission reduction, recycled content and renewable or compostable materials.
  • Effectively communicate technical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in product development, process engineering, manufacturing engineering, materials engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience working with polymer materials, film products, extrusion technologies, or similar manufacturing processes.
