About the role
- The Quality Engineer focuses on leading quality improvements of materials and processes, the Quality Management System, and corrective action processes.
- The scope will include ISO 9001:2015, FSC, and MAQMSR.
Responsibilities
- Provide internal production quality support related to issue resolution, product quality/risk assessment, and product disposition.
- Provide plant quality support and representation in new product development, spec reviews and approvals, scale up, design transfer, and facility validation activities.
- Maintain and evaluate the site's corrective action program through the issuing, evaluation, and completion of corrective actions while driving step-change improvements in CAPA processes.
- Drive improvements to the quality system that ensure its suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness while supporting management of document control, calibration, non-conforming material, deviations, and supplier quality processes.
- To maintain the integrity of our hiring process and protect our candidates from identity fraud, we require video and/or in-person interviews.
- This position requires the ability to drive improvement across multiple functional areas through committed root cause discovery and analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a technical field with 1+ years of experience in Quality or similar fields.
- No bachelor's degree with 5+ years of applicable experience would also be considered
- Ability to actively contribute in a team-based environment, effectively work across various functions and levels, and encourage open communication to reach common goals.
- Strong customer service and quality focus with the ability to address issues effectively, handle multiple responsibilities with minimal direction, and take initiative to identify root causes.
Nice to have
- Solid statistical background, with Minitab knowledge preferred.
Skills
- Good judgment skills are necessary to ensure the appropriate balance of quality, compliance, and business needs.
Compensation
- The salary range for this position is $72,000- $96,000/ year.
- The hiring base salary range above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting.
