About the role

  • This position requires teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses in civil engineering, with a specialization in geotechnical engineering and related areas of the civil engineering or geology.
  • The teaching expectation is four courses per semester.
  • Courses are usually delivered in person on the Pocatello campus and potentially through distance-learning formats to the other campuses and online students via Zoom.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver effective, student-centered instruction.
  • Support senior capstone design projects and student professional development.
  • Support student clubs and student-centric activities
  • Support student recruitment, outreach, and engagement with industry partners.
  • Participate in department meetings and other activities that support the mission of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
