Responsibilities

  • Student teams from BYU consistently place in the top ten in national and international design competitions.
  • A new 200,000 square foot engineering building opened in September, 2018 with offices, teaching and project labs, and classrooms.
  • We have excellent research programs in compliant mechanisms, MEMS, autonomous vehicle control, multidisciplinary and parametric design, global product development, acoustics, combustion, microfluidics, biomechanics, microstructure design, and experimental and computational fluid flow physics.
  • Requirements include a doctorate in mechanical engineering or closely related field and a willingness to fully support and participate in the ideals and mission of BYU.

Requirements

  • All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
  • All faculty are required to abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards.
  • The required degree must be completed by the start date.

Compensation

  • $65k-$90k
