About the role

- Other duties include leading group exercises, giving educational lectures, and performing non-invasive diagnostic testing (6MWT, spirometry, and physical performance testing).
Responsibilities
- patient assessment and orientation, developing a comprehensive Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP), and psychosocial support for both patient and family.
Requirements
- Must have an AS degree in Respiratory Care from an approved Respiratory Care program that is accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care.
- Minimum three (3) years of inpatient experience in an acute care hospital
- Knowledge of the pathophysiology and treatment of chronic lung diseases(CPWC)
- Performs relief charge/bronch/flex as part of regular duties, plus Professional Activities equal to six (6) points required.
- One year ED and or ICU experience
- Experience in Pulmonary Rehab, preferred for Cardiopulmonary Wellness Center(CPWC)
- Experience in exercise training and education, preferred for (CPWC)
- License/Certification/Registration Requirements
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (RRT) or Registered by the National Respiratory Care Board as a Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT).
- For Cardiopulmonary Wellness, RRT required
- RPFT preferred.
- Hold and maintain active membership with National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) bi-annually
Nice to have
- Bachelor of Science preferred Licensed by the State of California Respiratory Care Board as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- Experience in pulmonary function testing and interpretation, preferred (CPWC)
