Responsibilities
- Public Works currently has a vacancy for a Senior Building Inspector (6333) within the Bureau of Construction Management in the Project Delivery Division.
- This position will supervise a group of building inspectors and/or subordinate staff whose primary functions are plan review, field inspections and/or code enforcement.
- Your duties as a Senior Building Inspector may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- At the Bureau of Construction Management, the Senior Building Inspector manages a construction project to ensure quality control and code compliance.
- Performs inspections when subordinate staffs are absent or as necessary in order to ensure that inspections are performed correctly and completed in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Possession of the Commercial and Residential Building Inspector certifications or the Building Plans Examiner certification, issued by the International Code Council (ICC), is required.
- Any overtime hours that you work above forty (40) hours per week are not included in the calculation to determine full-time employment.
- Information submitted after the filing deadline will not be considered in determining whether you meet the minimum qualifications.
Compensation
- $156,806 - $190,502 annually
