About the role
- This role covers the Pacific Northwest and Mountain region (including WA, OR, ID, MT, WY, UT, NV, and NE). We are ideally looking for a candidate based in the Greater Seattle or Portland areas.
- Join Natera's Head & Neck Oncology histology team as a Clinical Oncology Specialist (COS). In this high-impact, field-based role, you will drive the adoption and growth of Signatera, Natera's personalized molecular residual disease (MRD) ctDNA assay, helping clinicians monitor cancer and inform treatment decisions throughout the patient journey.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic territory plans to identify growth opportunities and influence key clinical and administrative stakeholders.
- Achieve sales objectives and drive growth within the assigned territory.
- Maintain accurate territory activity, customer insights, and sales forecasts while identifying risks and new business opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Natera takes cyber crimes seriously, and will collaborate with law enforcement authorities to prosecute any related cyber crimes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 5+ years of successful medical sales experience, preferably within Head & Neck Oncology, Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, molecular diagnostics, or precision medicine.
- Knowledge of the academic and community oncology landscape, including molecular diagnostics, precision medicine, and reimbursement.
- Experience calling on Radiation Oncologists, ENT/Otolaryngology physicians, Head & Neck Surgeons, Medical Oncologists, or other Head & Neck oncology stakeholders preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership, business acumen, financial management, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel overnight as needed.
- Ability to build trusted relationships and influence physicians, key opinion leaders, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to develop and execute territory growth strategies.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Skills
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate complex clinical and scientific information effectively to diverse healthcare audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating across cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of oncology market dynamics, molecular diagnostics, precision medicine, and healthcare reimbursement is preferred.
Compensation
- The compensation package listed is for 1st year OTE, which are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location.
- On-target earnings (OTE) represent the total potential income an employee can earn by achieving 100% of their performance goals.
- It combines a base salary with commissions and serves as an estimated figure rather than a guaranteed amount, providing a guideline based on average performance outcomes.
- $195,000 - $225,000 USD
