About the role
- Foster a volunteer culture that is engaging, empowering and connected to the ABCD Discipleship Pathway.
- Oversee the full guest experience from parking lot to departure, ensuring first-time guests are identified, welcomed, and connected to next steps.
- Coordinate communication and collaboration between Guest Experience, Campus Pastor, Security, Facilities, Café, and ministry teams.
Responsibilities
- MY ONE THING Develop leaders, systems, and volunteer teams that shape first impressions, ensuring every person who enters VRL feels welcomed, cared for, and connected, creating a culture of hospitality that reflects Christ's love.
- Recruit, develop, and coach volunteers who can effectively lead Guest Experience ministries, multiply leadership, and build healthy volunteer teams.
- Create and maintain welcoming environments, clear signage, and effective guest-facing processes.
- Develop systems, processes, and checklists that ensure consistent ministry execution.
- Anticipate challenges and proactively implement solutions.
- Provide leadership, support, and operational excellence for Greeters, Ushers, Café, Communion, Parking & Signage, Lobby & Guest Environments, and First-Time Guest Experience
- Create a Relational Culture
- PRIMARY RESPONSIBILTIES The primary responsibilities of the Guest Experience Lead include, but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain growing relationship with Jesus
- Build all relationships like Jesus, graciously, directly, & lovingly
Requirements
- Experience leading volunteers required.
- HS Diploma plus experience, or education relating to field of expertise.
- At VRL we make disciples who make disciple-makers for Jesus.
- As VRL staff you are a critical part of that process.

Nice to have
- 2-4 years' experience in a similar role preferred
Skills
- Attend VRL church services on a regular basis
- Have attended a DNA class/The Journey and signed a membership agreement
- Be in full alignment with VRL's mission, vision, beliefs, and culture.
- Be in a Life Group on a regular basis
- Committed to regular giving of income to God through VRL
- Abiding in Christ and continuing to grow toward Christlikeness and spiritual maturity.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule as there are seasons of irregular work hours based on various church activities.
- Attend monthly All Staff meeting and participate in department meetings or other meetings when requested to do so.

- $22.00-$25.00 per hour
