About the role
- This role works closely with clients to obtain current information on unpaid invoices, keeps clients updated on notices sent, and conducts research on, owners, and general contractors/subcontractors/suppliers.
- The Collections Coordinator also places collection calls in an effort to recover payment on our clients' behalf.
- Because lien and collections deadlines vary by state and are often short, accuracy and timeliness in research and drafting are critical to this role.
Responsibilities
- Draft notices of intent, liens, and related collections documents.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Required Skills/Abilities:
- Houston, TX 77055: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
- English and Spanish (Required)
Nice to have
- High school diploma required.
- Previous experience in liens and collections preferred.
- Preferred Skills/Abilities:

- Knowledge of postage/mailing systems.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Reliable transportation.
- Proficiency with Outlook and Microsoft Office.
- Typing speed of 60 words per minute.
- Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision.
- Must be bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Familiarity with Clio or similar case management software.
- Familiarity with construction industry terminology (contracts, payment applications, change orders).
