- Evaluate all factors affecting costs-materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, site conditions, and risks-with extreme ownership and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain trust-based relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers through honest and respectful communication.
- Manage bid data, historical costs, and market trends to create competitive and realistic cost analyses.
- Collaborate with in-house craftsmen, project managers, and leadership to ensure estimates align with company values and client satisfaction.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in mathematics, data analysis, and cost modeling
Skills
- Proven experience in construction estimating, preferably in residential custom homes, renovations, and/or historical restoration projects.
- Strong proficiency in mathematics, data analysis, and cost modeling; exceptional attention to detail and analytical mindset.
- Advanced skills with estimating tools, spreadsheets (e.g., Excel), database management, and industry-standard estimating software.
- Demonstrated Grit and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy under deadlines.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with a proven track record of meeting commitments.
- Experience in or enthusiasm for historical restoration and high-end custom construction is highly valued.
