About the role
- This is your opportunity to provide regional impact on food safety, regulatory compliance, customer trust, operational performance, and protection of Griffith Foods brand across North American operations.
- You will be asked to travel to other locations periodically for business needs.
Responsibilities
- Enjoy translating business strategy and customer requirements into practical quality and food safety programs that support operational performance, consistency, and business enablement
- Are a strategic leader who coaches and develops direct and dotted-line teams across North America
- Leading the design, standardization, and compliance of North American food safety and quality systems programs across manufacturing sites, warehouses, contract manufacturers, and import and export-related activities.
- Ensuring compliance with North American regulatory requirements, export regulations, BRC expectations, GMP, allergen control, sanitary design principles, supplier approvals, and food safety training requirements.
- Professional certifications in Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI), Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) lead auditor, or Food Defense/Intentional Adulteration
Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related areas
- At least 10 years of food safety and quality experience in Food Science, Quality, Microbiology, Engineering or related fields
- At least 5 years of people management experience
- Knowledge of North America regulations, ISO 9000, pathogen control, allergen control, third-party audits, and GFSI-related systems
- ERP and LIMS systems experience supporting traceability, product management, and related FSQS processes
- Must be willing and able to travel regionally up to 25%
- You are a clear, confident communicator who can align operations, commercial teams, and global quality stakeholders, while also serving as the go-to spokesperson on food safety and quality system matters
- Master's degree

- $170k-$220k
