About the role
- The intern will work alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative, DevSecOps-oriented environment, contributing to real-world applications and learning tools such as AI technologies, Git, Postman, and Jira.
- The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and debug applications using modern programming practices.
- Collaborate with senior developers and technical teams to support software development initiatives.
- Support Agile development practices and participate in sprint planning and reviews.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Academic or project-based experience in software development, object-oriented programming, or web development.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Java or Python.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of version control concepts and software development lifecycle practices.
- Ability to work in a multi-stakeholder, Agile, and DevSecOps environment.
- Note: Selected candidates will be required to complete fingerprinting at a government facility and undergo a background check as part of the hiring process.
Nice to have
- Exposure to Git and version control tools.
- Experience with JSON and API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger.
- Familiarity with Jira or other Agile project management tools.
- Must be able to obtain a Federal Government clearance (VetsEZ will assist in this process).
- Basic experience with RESTful APIs and/or SQL (all three preferred).
