About the role
- The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) seeks a doctoral-level Biostatistician (Research Scientist, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor), non-tenure-track. to serve as a faculty member within the Translational Research Center.
- Participate in the Evidence and Systems-Based Practice (ESP) or equivalent curriculum thread
- Evaluate student performance and contribute to curriculum improvement efforts
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, delivery, and evaluation of biostatistics instruction within the MD curriculum, including pre-clerkship and clerkship phases
- Design research protocols
- Develop statistical analysis plans
- Study design and methodology consultation
- Partner with the Translational Research Center and affiliated research infrastructure to support investigator-initiated and sponsored studies

Requirements
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain statistical concepts to non-experts

- Experience mentoring trainees in academic medicine
