About the role
- Yukuskokon Professional Services (YKPS) is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team immediately.
- This position involves constructing and maintaining buildings and other structures at a remote exploration camp in Alaska.
- Read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Construct, repair, and maintain camp buildings and structures.
- Perform framing, finish work, roofing, siding, flooring, and general carpentry.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Collaborate with other trades and camp personnel as needed.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move construction materials.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Proven carpentry experience required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a remote camp environment.
- Commitment to safety, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Experience working in remote camps, mining, construction, or exploration environments is preferred.
