Responsibilities
- The Texas Workforce Commission is seeking a Developer Team Lead to join the Information Technology (IT) Applications Development and Maintenance (ADM) Department, located at 1411 Brazos Street, Austin, TX.
- The Programmer VI Performs highly advanced and/or managerial (senior-level) computer programming work.
Requirements
- Fifteen semester hours of accredited college work in computer science may be substituted for one year of the required experience with a maximum substitution of two years.
Nice to have
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in computer science or related field.
- At least four (4) years of senior-level experience in computer programming plus two (2) years of experience overseeing the work of others in a mainframe environment.
- Knowledge of computer programming languages COBOL, JAVA, and/or Natural.
- Experience supporting the TWC Unemployment Insurance application.
- Demonstrated skills using software/systems development methodologies such as waterfall, iterative, and/or agile sprints

Compensation
- The salary range for this position is $6,500 - $7,500 per month, depending on qualifications.

- One additional year of full-time qualifying experience may be substituted for each year (30 semester hours) of the required education.
