About the role

  • We are hiring skilled CNC Machinists to join our high-mix, low-volume aerospace and defense machine shop.
  • In this role, you will machine mission-critical, tight-tolerance components for satellites, fighter jets, helicopters, and beyond.
  • Manual Fundamentals: You don't just rely on the machine; you understand exactly what the cutter is doing.

Responsibilities

  • Our machinists own their work end-to-end, from setup through final inspection, and play a direct role in quality, delivery performance, and continuous improvement.
  • Setup, run, inspect, and document results across our floor, heavily utilizing advanced 5-axis machines and mill-turn centers.
  • Select tooling, establish offsets, build bulletproof workholding strategies, and optimize processes.

Requirements

  • Precision: Proven ability to hold.0005" (5 tenths / ~13 microns) or tighter on critical features, and the manual skills to verify it.
  • A highly dynamic job shop setting where you have autonomy over your work
  • Shifts Day Shift Monday - Friday Consistent Overtime 10+ hours / week for those who want it Rarely required for those who don't
  • 8+ years in precision, tight-tolerance machining (more is always welcome).
  • Proven ability to hold.0005" (5 tenths / ~13 microns) or tighter on critical features, and the manual skills to verify it.

Nice to have

  • The ability to program/operate CMMs and independently conduct formal First Article Inspections (FAI) is highly preferred).
  • Experience fully programming from scratch in Mastercam is a plus but not required
  • Strong tenure in

Skills

  • Comfortable in shops where setup time is 30%+ of the job, frequently handling complex setups with 10+ tools.
