Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies (e.g., EPA, WIDNR) and lead environmental audits, inspections, and reporting activities.
Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis related to environmental events; implement corrective and preventive actions.
Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives, including waste minimization and environmental performance enhancements.
Develop and deliver environmental training to employees to ensure awareness, compliance, and safe work practices.
Interface with contractors, consultants, auditors, and vendors to support environmental programs and projects.
Own and manage all site environmental compliance programs, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., EPA, RCRA, Clean Air Act Title V, wastewater/pretreatment requirements).
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure environmental requirements are integrated into plant operations and projects.

Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis related to environmental events

Knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting processes, and compliance requirements.
Experience with key regulatory programs such as PSM, RMP, hazardous waste (RCRA), and air/water permitting.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders (regulators, auditors, contractors).

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related scientific field strongly preferred
5+ years of environmental experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment strongly preferred

Manage hazardous waste programs, including Large Quantity Generator (LQG) requirements, recordkeeping, and annual reporting.
