About the role

  • About Atomic Machines Atomic Machines is ushering in a new era of micromanufacturing with its Matter Compiler™ technology.
  • It promises to unlock MEMS manufacturing for the many Atomic Machines is ushering in a new era of micromanufacturing with its Matter Compiler™ technology.
  • It promises to unlock MEMS manufacturing for the many device classes frustrated by semiconductor methods and to open up entirely new product classes.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build custom electronics for our automated manufacturing systems
  • Support the building of engineering fixtures
  • Create and maintain component and module libraries for reuse
  • Maker mentality-being hands-on to quickly build, integrate, and test proof of concepts
  • This full-stack technology enables new classes of micromachines to be designed and built by offering manufacturing processes and a materials library that is inaccessible to semiconductor manufacturing methods.
  • The main line of work will be to build and integrate machine control systems for our custom manufacturing nodes.
  • We emphasize modularity for reuse to speed up subsequent builds of nodes with similar needs.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of working experience as an Electrical Engineer
  • Familiarity with some sensors and actuators
  • Ability to write bring-up code for microcontrollers in C/C++ and test scripts in Python

Nice to have

  • SPICE simulation knowledge
  • Motor control experience
  • Schematic entry and layout of 2-4 layer boards (Altium Designer preferred)

Compensation

  • $140,000 - $180,000 USD

Benefits

  • Our system is built around a multiprocessor architecture, with distinct processors handling networking, general machine control, and specialty controls such as vision and motion.

Company info

  • We are looking for a well-rounded Electrical Engineer who enjoys working in an agile environment.
