About the role
- UIS is a multidisciplinary engineering and construction company.
- This role involves coordinating and supervising subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, managing schedules, and assisting with project documentation.
- The Assistant Superintendent plays a key role in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Our scope of services includes engineering design, high-tech factory planning, and on-time equipment and material delivery in which clean-room systems, HVAC, electrical systems, and tool hook-up, are all vital parts in need of total coordination.
Requirements
- Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver's license.
- May be required to travel to other sites within Arizona to perform certain work functions.

- Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities depending on project needs.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, and employees.

Nice to have
- High School Diploma/GED
- bachelor's degree in construction management, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in construction preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin, preferred.
Skills
- Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and best practices, concerning Electrical scope.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to use engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Primavera, or others.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- High level of attention to detail, and highly organized.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude.
- Ability to work in a construction site environment (trailer office).
- Interaction with powered industrial equipment, tools, and vehicles.
