About the role
- As a Data Center Technician, you will work with state-of-the-art computing and networking equipment to ensure optimal uptime and provide regular basic repair services.
- You should also be able to stay current with emerging technologies.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and optimize all critical data center systems, including power distribution units, UPS systems, cooling infrastructure, backup generators, and fire suppression systems to ensure continuous and efficient mining operations.
- Support preventative maintenance schedules, performing regular inspections, cleaning, and necessary repairs on all data center equipment to prevent unplanned downtime.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate will be eager to learn about our network technologies and will demonstrate the ability to adapt to evolving systems.
Nice to have
- Monitor and contribute to detailed performance reports, including metrics such as uptime, power usage, and environmental conditions, to assist with decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Beginner to intermediate knowledge of data center infrastructure, including electrical systems, cooling systems, and network architecture, specifically within the context of Bitcoin mining operations.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting complex technical issues related to power, cooling, and network systems.
- Knowledge of data center best practices, standards, and maintenance procedures is preferred but not required.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to react quickly to critical incidents.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and team collaboration.
- Familiarity with safety standards, energy efficiency practices, and compliance regulations in data center operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
