About the role

  • Job Description Summary The Sterling Mechanic Assistant will be a team contributor to the repair and overhaul of composite propeller systems.
  • In this role, you will assist in the assembly, disassembly, and repair of propellers and related units.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with and support all GE and Site policies.
  • Prioritize work and meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Perform a variety of support functions such as warehouse, material handling / movement and area housekeeping.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment, produce quality results, help control costs, meet production requirements, and develop job knowledge and manufacturing skills.
  • Manual dexterity to perform tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Team Building, undergo on-the-job training to learn specific skills / tasks.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 1 year of Mechanical experience.
  • Ability to work well under minimal supervision.
  • As such, a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.
