About the role
- The Mechatronics Technician I contributes to production performance in addition to equipment management and implementation.
- This role works with engineering and quality, supporting the production team in achieving established targets and assures customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Supports technical production performance and resources.
- Monitors and analyzes equipment performance and optimizes machine performance for efficient production.
- Troubleshoots, maintains, repairs, and interprets various mechanical and electrical aspects of automatic and semi-automatic equipment, such as mechanical and pneumatic, PLC, and PC-based driven systems.
- Coordinates machine enhancements and improvements with machine build and Manufacturing Engineering department.
- Maintains spare parts list and spare parts system to support equipment.
- Works closely with all manufacturing personnel and provides technical support.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Mechatronics, Engineering Technology, or another related field
- 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in a production environment.
- Knowledge of industry standards.
- Knowledge of and desire to work in a production environment.
- Knowledge of Mechanical assembly.
- Demonstrate initiative by understanding what actions need to be taken and completing the required tasks while seeking the perspective of others as required.
- Able to work a 6-day week, if required.
- Or 1 - 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or other computer aided design program(s).
- Demonstrate an honest and forthright presence by taking responsibility for own mistakes and not blaming others and by doing what he / she commits to doing.
- Work as a team player to make a difference within the business and express gratitude and appreciation to others who have provided information, assistance or support.
- Readily handle and embrace change through taking advantage of lifelong learning opportunities and being open minded and curious in the face of new challenges.
- Essential Job Functions
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Able to use pallet jack with 300-pound load.
