Requirements
- Prior experience with children and families from diverse cultural, linguistic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Ability to satisfy Title 22 requirements for a Teacher.
- Ability to complete required paperwork and documentation if assigned to a classroom long-term (more than two consecutive weeks).
- A valid first aid and CPR certificate or the ability to obtain one within the introductory period.
- Possesses a valid driver's license and state-required auto insurance.
- Required to travel extensively (>50% of the time)
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- An Associate Teacher Permit or higher from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing required.
- Maintains patient privacy, including protecting the confidentiality, safeguarding the integrity and availability, and limiting the use and disclosure of patient Protected Health Information (PHI) to authorized individuals and entities.
- Participates in, conducts, and sustains performance quality improvement activities according to designated role and responsibilities.
- Sensitivity to service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to have
- Minimum of 12 units of ECS course work completed.
- Previous experience as an early childhood educator is a plus.
- Demonstrated skill in curriculum development and modification for children birth to five years is a plus.
- Knowledge of Creative Curriculum is a plus.
- Spanish / English bilingual preferred.
Skills
- Must have intermediate knowledge of computer programs in a Windows environment.
Compensation
- In accordance with California law, the expected pay range for this position is included in this posting.
- The actual compensation will be determined based on factors permitted by law.
- New hires will be offered a salary at the starting point of the range to maintain internal inequity and allow opportunity for future salary growth.
