About the role
- The LPN may work in a variety of settings and roles within Riverside Health System.
Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of the RN, partners with patients and families to implement plan of care, treatments and procedures that contribute to the physiological and psychosocial outcomes of the patient.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team in the coordination of care.
- Demonstrates the ability to build trusting collaborative relationships with peers and multi-disciplinary team to support patient care needs.
- Evaluates own needs for support and uses identified systems/resources to obtain assistance.
- Works under the supervision of Registered Nurse in care of the patients and their environment (including those needing special precautions) and performs specified treatments.
- Promotes and maintains safe work environment for staff as well as our customers, incorporating national patient safety initiatives.
- Evaluates for patient comprehension and documents response.
Requirements
- Program Graduate, Practical Nursing (Required) and
- High School Diploma or GED, (Required)
- Accurately completes all required clinical and quality documentation consistently per RHS standards and regulatory requirements.
- In addition, this position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served in assigned unit.
- The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and provide the care needed as described according to the departmental policy and procedure.

- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire(Required) and
- CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire(Required)

- $26k-$35k

- $25.80 - $35.48/HourlyActual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.
