About the role

  • WORK SHIFT: Second Shift (United States of America) JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for the management and coordination of all personnel activities assigned in the manufacturing area in the Composites plant.
  • The Shift Manager reviews the schedule daily and formulates a plan to complete the schedule within the planned timeframe.
  • This position is primarily responsible for monitoring, directing, motivating, and reporting safety and quality aspects of the manufacturing work areas and the general work area using the Manufacturing Operating System (M.O.S.) guidelines.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree from a two- or four-year college
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to work with math concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Working knowledge of Prism, Intermec, AS400 system
