About the role
- This position will serve as a link between participants and community services.
- The provision of all services will focus on promoting the educational and economic success of the participants that wil in turn promote their child's overall growth and development.
Requirements
- Regularly required to sit
- Occasionally required to stand
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- Local and day travel is required on a frequent basis.
- Must be familiar with the community and community support agencies.
- Regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and
- Occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of child development techniques.
- Must exhibit a willingness to assist in the personal development of low- income families.
- Must be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the families and the program.
- Must be able to work in the evening and on weekends, if necessary.
- Bilingual- English / Spanish preferred.
- Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
- Working in educational, social services, or family literacy setting.
- Working with parents and young children
- Working with families with diverse cultural and economic backgrounds
- Required: CDA minimum requirement.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Early Child Education or related field preferred
