About the role

- Working closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and the FAA, you'll review procedures, audit maintenance records, and provide guidance to correct issues and improve maintenance quality.
Responsibilities
- Assist other departments within maintenance to correct discrepancies on completed documents and provide feedback to the individuals involved
- Manage and establish performance standards for inspection personnel and provide examinations and authorization of inspection personnel
- Perform detailed audits of paperwork and Aircraft maintenance procedures
- Provide technical support and guidance for Southwest Airlines, AEMP, and vendor personnel when requested
- May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
- Working knowledge of Maintenance Procedures Manual, aircraft related documents and manuals, aircraft paperwork procedures such as log page and non-routines, and CFR 121 applicable FAA regulations
- Ability to read and understand technical documents and their ability to meet intent of the maintenance program
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks with frequent interruptions
- Ability to delegate as well as lead multiple tasks simultaneously and follow up through completion
- Ability to lead others without direct positional authority
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S. is required, and no current or future work authorization sponsorship available.
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
- Required: Airframe and Powerplant license
- Must be able to obtain a SIDA badge and meet all local airport requirements
- Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
- Must be able to work in a confined or cramped space for extended periods of time
Compensation
- Competitive market salary ranges from $145,600 per year to $161,800 per year* depending on qualifications and experience, with opportunity for future pay increases based on performance and market movement.
