About the role

  • The Multnomah County Department of Community Services, Transportation Division is looking for a full-time Construction Inspector - Bridges ( Engineering Technician 3)!
  • You will be ensuring that the complex, challenging work to rehabilitate and enhance our transportation infrastructure is done correctly and efficiently, and at the highest quality possible.
  • You will work on the electrical, mechanical, and structural rehabilitation of very large movable bridges, and help bring transformative roadway projects into being.

Responsibilities

  • Perform construction inspection of bridge and/or road projects, which may include reinforced concrete and structural steel installation, shop fabrication, paint, surveys, grading, surfacing, drainage and others;
  • Keep construction inspection records and prepare reports; lead the project quality and quantity documentation and closeout process;
  • Assist in developing standards and procedures.

Compensation

  • $40.27 - $49.52 Hourly
  • Equal Pay Law: Please be advised that the pay range listed for this position is intended to provide general guidance on the earning potential for the role.
  • Candidates should expect that initial offers will be made within the listed pay range and may not be at or near the top of the range.
