About the role

SUMMARY Responsible for the overall safety, quality and efficient operation of the processes within their area of responsibility.
One year or more automotive manufacturing experience.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Understand and perform the supervisor's responsibilities in their absence.
Perform daily production scheduling and assure schedule attainment.
Lead and direct production associates in their assigned areas on a daily basis.
Manage hold areas and assure timely disposition of product.
Lead meetings with production associates to discuss established objectives and how to make improvements in these areas.
Assure all production associates are properly trained on the equipment they operate and that there is documentation to support that training via the training effectiveness evaluation.
Maintain the training matrix boards and assure their accuracy.
Understand M2K and C2K issues and maintain accurate inventory via cycle counts and inventory adjustments.
Lead and participate in corrective action or continuous improvement activities.

Has a working knowledge of all of the equipment within their assigned area with the ability to train others on that equipment.

The ability to read and comprehend written work instructions.

The associate is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
The associate is required to rotate their torso and view behind them to operate required equipment.
The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
The associate must be available to work scheduled overtime and assist in emergency situations.
The associate must have the flexibility to work various shift hours.
