Nice to have
- AA degree or equivalent required •BA degree preferred
- Knowledge and experience in ABA
- Criminal clearance, including fingerprints and TB Test
- Previous experience working with and supervising children
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Current CPR and 1st Aid Certificate within 3 months of employment

- Position Description The primary role of the Behavioral Interventionist is to support scholars with IEPs through small group instruction, push-in classroom support, and reading intervention.
- The ideal candidate should have experience working with students with disabilities and challenging behaviors.
- Job Responsibilities • Assist scholars with behavioral challenges in and outside the classroom • Provide support to students with special education needs to achieve IEP goals • Collaborate with scholars' general education and RSP teacher • Facilitate reading intervention, small group instruction and pull out groups • Conduct academic assessments • Provide instruction in various drills and activities using learning strategies designed to introduce, reinforce, or modify skills • Actively participate in professional development aimed at refining both school culture and academics • Work and assist teachers during the school day with instruction, oversight, and supervision of students • Follow policies and procedures for health, safety, and nutrition • Maintain high behavioral expectations for scholar behavior at all times and enforce Equitas Academy's positive discipline policies • Maintain open lines of communication with staff, parents, and other stakeholders • May provide adaptive supports with eating and toileting • Perform other duties as assigned Salary: Starting at $22/hour.
