About the role

  • Orla operates the Camino Rojo Oxide Gold Mine, a gold and silver open-pit heap leach mine, located in Zacatecas State, Central Mexico.
  • This low-cost operation is 100% owned by Orla, covers over 139,000 hectares, and includes a large sulphide mineral endowment located beneath the oxide resources.
  • This project is part our larger South Carlin Complex which includes a prospective land package.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections, sampling and process adjustments to maintain safe, efficient and consistent plant performance.
  • Record, interpret and troubleshoot process data, equipment readings and sample results to optimize plant performance
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in all assigned areas

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of milling experience in the mining industry
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Team Leader, the Mill Operator conducts all duties that are required within their assigned circuit.
  • The Mill Operator is also responsible of maintaining housekeeping of their assigned circuit and other circuits as required to ensure a safe work environment.
  • shift handovers, plant startups and shutdowns, and emergency procedures as required

Compensation

  • The base salary range for this position is CAD$100,513 - $110,820 per year, depending on skills, experience, and qualifications.
