About the role
- Flowserve is seeking a hands-on, technically driven On-Site Applications Engineer to act as a dedicated reliability field resource for our contracted primary chemical and refining accounts in the Louisiana region.
- Backed by a dedicated commercial sales engineer handling the account management, you will focus entirely on technical authority, execution, and plant uptime.
- You will spend your days bridging the gap between field diagnostics and engineering solutions-performing teardowns, executing failure analysis, and identifying upgrades directly at the plant level.
Responsibilities
- Direct and manage the plant's mechanical seal standardization blueprints, tracking customer quality specs and resolving hardware variance.
- Head up monthly "Bad Actor" review meetings with customer engineers to track chronic equipment failures and implement preventative multi-million dollar asset protections.
- True Subject Matter Expert (SME) Track: A transparent technical career roadmap designed to cultivate deep technical expertise without forcing you into a traditional people-management or commercial quota track.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), equivalent technical engineering degree, or applicable experience.
Skills
- All seniority tiers considered.
- In-plant or process-intensive site experience is highly valued.
