About the role
- The Transmission & Distribution Department is seeking a Senior Power System Engineer with strong expertise in power system analysis and software simulation.
- The successful candidate will provide subject matter expertise, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the advancement of ETAP products across transmission, distribution, industrial, renewable energy, and transportation applications.
Responsibilities
- Execute established and develop new test cases per ETAP QA and development requirements.
- Support ETAP software development activities including software research, design, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and feature enhancement initiatives.
- Utilize engineering application software to perform power system modeling, analysis, and design for transmission, distribution, industrial, renewable energy, and/or railway systems.
- Provide customer support and technical issue resolution via email and phone.

Requirements
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a fast-paced engineering and software development environment.
- Education
- B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in Power System Engineering or a related field.
Nice to have
- Instruct ETAP workshops and webinars.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in power system studies such as load flow, short-circuit, protection and coordination, and/or transient stability analysis.
- Proficiency in Python for automation, data processing, engineering analysis, testing, and/or application development.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently investigate and resolve technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction, technical presentations, and teamwork.
- Experience with data center electrical systems and mission-critical power infrastructure is a plus.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
Compensation
- 87,500.00 - 145,500.00 USD Annual
- This pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation that the position offers, and final compensation can vary within the range depending on work location, job experience, skills, and relevant educational attainment and/or training.
