About the role

  • We are searching for an experienced and enthusiastic Co-Op to join Analytical Development team.
  • We are looking for an individual who enjoys hands-on laboratory benchwork and brings scientific rigor and intellectual curiosity to their role.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the team to drive advancement of platform development developing methods for scalable, rigorous, and cost-effective manufacturing and quality control. Step into benchwork to execute platform goals with tenacity and agility.
  • Develop and execute analytical assays for the characterization and release of nucleic acid cargo and LNP drug product
  • Explore new technologies and methods to optimize current processes in fast-paced research environment
  • Maintain up-to-date records and communicate results to team members in written technical reports and oral presentations
  • Participate in experimental design and troubleshooting efforts
  • Interpret and summarize experimental data and maintain excellent laboratory notebooks

Requirements

  • Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and troubleshoot
  • Ability to analyze, summarize, and communicate scientific data
  • Current student enrolled in a Bachelors or Master's program in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biomolecular Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Biophysics, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or a related field
  • GPA of 3.5 on a 4 scale or equivalent
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent record keeping and data management skills
  • Excellent organization skills, approaching tasks with efficiency
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with other members of the team
  • Laboratory skills applicable to development and execution of analytical assays

Nice to have

  • Preferred: Hands-on experience with plate-based (ELISA, qPCR, fluorescence assays) or separation (CE, HPLC) techniques

Compensation

  • The pay range for this role is $25 - $35 per hour.
