About the role
- This position is accountable for the development, coordination, communication and management of the Sports Performance Program for all Teams.
- It is the primary communication point for the supporting strategic partnerships, as well as providing the supporting elements of competitive winter sports that includes physiology, biomechanics, dietetics, health and wellness, and data and analytics.
- The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's salary range for this position.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate electronic records of all implemented programs.
- Develop macro, meso, and micro cycles based on current training theory and periodization principles coincident with long-term athlete development practices.
- Work with the Athletic Director, U System Managers and Head Coaches, Development Director and Training Manager to develop and achieve quality targets that are aligned with the company.
- Collaborate with U System and Freeride Competition Teams for programming and scheduling.
- Create a positive work environment for all staff.
- Manages current and future partnerships with Tahoe Forest and/or other sports medicine.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in athlete development
- A proven track record of leading successful team(s).
- Ability to plan and execute against a long-term athlete development focus
- Ability to be a team player and work independently
- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, hear, and ski/snowboard.
- Must be capable of standing and/or balancing for long periods of time, up to 90% or more of a normal work shift.

- Certified Athletic Trainer or Athletic Program Manager/Director
- Coaching youth athletes or teaching background

Skills

- Exceptional communication and organizational skills to engage athletes, coaches and those responsible for implementing.
Compensation
- $67,082 - $93,914 per year
- Develop a program-wide technical and tactical philosophy and create a system for annual delivery with regular (monthly) updates and clinics for all staff (in coordination with U System and Freeride Managers).
