Responsibilities
- Assists with simple respiratory therapy treatments for patients. Performs (bedside) EKG's, and other specimen collection
- The Emergency Department Technician will also help maintain a safe and efficient patient care environment by stocking supply and linen carts, replacing full sharps containers, cleaning equipment and stretchers, and other duties as assigned by the Manager or their designee.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent required
- Cert Phlebotomy Tech I (CPT I) or Cert Phlebotomy Tech II (CPT II) required at hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire.
- Integrative Agitation Management (IAMTAC) Required within 30 days of hire
Nice to have
- A minimum of one year experience as an EMT, Paramedic, or CAN
- Experience as an Orthopedic Technician is preferred
- Enrollment in a registered nursing program with completion of at least the first year of instruction may substitute for the required experience.
Skills
- Ability to read, speak, write clearly and legible, and understand and follow English verbal and written instructions
- Ability to establish priorities and follow through on assigned tasks
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients, visitors, physicians, team members and other hospital staff
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to learn current in-house computer systems
- Ability to work effectively as a team member and contribute positively towards the goals of the team and the organization

Compensation
- The posted pay range complies with applicable law and reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role.
- Individual pay is set by skills, experience, qualifications, and internal/market equity, consistent with MarinHealth's compensation philosophy.
