About the role

  • As an Engineering Manager within Workplace Investing Technology, you will define and execute the technical strategy for a portfolio of applications supporting back-office operations and process automation.
  • Partnering closely with Product, Architecture, and Operations, you will translate business objectives into high-impact technology solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, and operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • own delivery milestones and outcomes
  • Provide technical leadership across workflow automation and BPM solutions, guiding architecture, design, and implementation
  • Build scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems while balancing near-term delivery with long-term standardization and reuse
  • Drive engineering excellence through best practices in coding, testing, design patterns, CI/CD, and modern architectures
  • Own end-to-end delivery including planning, estimation, capacity management, dependencies, and continuous improvement
  • Lead operational excellence through strong production support, incident management, and root cause prevention
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team across hiring, coaching, and career development
  • Identify and deliver opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and process effectiveness
  • Translate business, operational, and regulatory needs into actionable roadmaps; own delivery milestones and outcomes
  • Strong foundation in object-oriented design, engineering patterns, and modern application architectures

Requirements

  • Required Skills and Expertise
  • 12 years in software engineering
  • 3 years leading teams
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, performance tuning, and CI/CD
  • This role requires a strong balance of technical leadership, delivery execution, and people development, with the ability to thrive in a transformation-focused environment.
  • 12 years in software engineering; 3 years leading teams; Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent experience
