About the role
- Freshfields US LLP is seeking an associate to join our International Arbitration practice in our Washington, D.C. office.
- Our International Arbitration group is globally recognized for representing multinational corporations, sovereign states, and state-owned entities in complex, high-stakes disputes under major arbitral rules.
Responsibilities
- Be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams efficiently
Requirements
- Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of legal experience including prior experience in international arbitration.
- Have demonstrated interest and experience in international arbitration, and in complex, cross-border disputes
- Have a minimum of 2 years experience at a leading law firm or arbitration practice
- Possess native or strong Spanish language skills in addition to having full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken)
Skills
- Possess strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills
Compensation
- Freshfields is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.
