About the role

  • This position reports to the Fiber Splicing Manager and represents an excellent opportunity to join an active, well-funded team, gain valuable experience, and advance your career as GRC grows.
  • Working with clients to plan installations, installing aerial and underground cabling, and pulling it through conduits.
  • Follow blueprints and technical diagrams to ensure correct installation.

  • The Opportunity We are looking for a Fiber Optic Splicer local to the Reno, NV area to support our operations from the ground floor!

Requirements

  • Previous experience in fiber splicing, telecommunications, or related fields is highly desirable, but not required.
  • A valid driver's license is required for this role.
  • Must have a strong eagerness to learn, a positive attitude, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.
  • Must be able to perform physically demanding work outdoors in various weather conditions, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
  • Familiarity with basic computer applications (e.g., Google Maps, Google Earth and project management tools.) is helpful but not required

  • Communication: Strong basic communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Problem-Solving: A desire to learn problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Technical Interest: An interest in construction, telecommunications, or technology is a plus.
