About the role
- Job Description: Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in material movement or handling, receiving, loading, unloading, transporting, stacking, order filling, shipping, and maintaining stock in a storeroom or warehouse.
- Review shipping or receiving orders and requests for movement of materials and products.
- Essential Physical Functions: - Lift up to 50lbs. - Sit or stand for up to 95 percent of work hours. - Seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.
Responsibilities
- Hires and trains staff, communicates job expectations, and implements company policies and procedures.
- Develops schedules and assigns work to team members to ensure efficient flow of inventory from the warehouse to the production floor.
- Maintains accurate inventory levels through cycle counts and/or daily checks.
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED and 5 years of warehouse or storeroom supervisor experience.
