About the role
- Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is seeking a Chemotherapy/Infusion RN to join the Team!
- The Chemo RN administers simple to complex infusion therapy for chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy treatments to patients while working in collaboration with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
- Demonstrates a professional model of nursing practice through the use of oncology related clinical pathways.
Responsibilities
- Performs venipuncture, accesses portcaths and maintains central line venous catheters.
- Documents nursing assessments, patient teaching, and fluid/medication administration in the patient chart.
- Maintains a clean work environment and restocks the supply area as needed.
- Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Maintains appropriate and efficient patient flow.
