- The expected base salary range for this position is from $190,000-215,000.
Responsibilities
- Help build Condé Nast's M&A, investment and strategic partnership pipeline and support the execution of corporate initiatives on behalf of the executive leadership team.
- Develop deep domain knowledge of the media industry and audience, market, consumer and competitive dynamics to inform, identify and source strategic partnerships, acquisition targets and new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships across the external market, including founders, operators, investors, bankers, advisors, strategic companies and potential partners, to strengthen Condé Nast's access to priority opportunities.
- Support the expansion of existing and new growth pillars, including delivering analytical assessments of existing business lines.
- Drive transaction execution across acquisitions, investments, partnerships and other strategic deals, including managing diligence, coordinating workstreams, leading negotiations, and advancing processes through closing and post-close integration.
- Manage company deal databases, target lists, market maps, opportunity pipelines, benchmarking and competitive intelligence analysis to inform Condé Nast's corporate strategy and future growth priorities.
- Drive financial modeling, transaction structuring and long-range strategic planning processes in coordination with counterparts in Finance, Legal and Condé Nast's parent company.
- Builds credibility and influences decisions across teams and stakeholders through expertise, data, and effective communication.
- Work independently and cross-functionally to manage multiple workstreams, drive project timelines and move complex strategic initiatives from analysis to recommendation to execution.
- Condé Nast seeks a Senior Director, Corporate Strategy & Development to support the company's strategic growth, including corporate strategy, business development, partnerships, investments, M&A and other high-priority corporate initiatives.
Requirements
- 7-10+ years of experience in corporate development, corporate strategy, investment banking, private equity, management consulting, business development, strategic finance or a related field.
- Experience evaluating and executing acquisitions, investments, partnerships, new business opportunities or major strategic initiatives.
- Ability to synthesize financial, strategic, market and operational information into clear recommendations.
- Strong project management skills and ability to coordinate cross-functional workstreams with multiple stakeholders.
- High degree of ownership, attention to detail, discretion and comfort operating in ambiguous or fast-moving environments.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel / Google Sheets and PowerPoint / Google Slides.

- BA/BS degree required; MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred.

- Knowledge of media, digital publishing, consumer internet, commerce, entertainment, events, luxury, advertising, subscriptions, marketplaces, licensing or related sectors preferred.

Compensation
