Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans, utilizing evidence-based nutrition guidelines.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team (including physicians) to integrate nutrition interventions into patient care.
Requirements
- Registered Dietitian (RD) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (required).
- State License if required in the practice state.
- Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, or Human Nutrition.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of clinical nutrition and disease management.
- Excellent communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred:
- Minimum of one year experience providing nutrition counseling in an outpatient setting preferred.
- Relevant specialty certification (CDCES, CSOWM, etc.) preferred.
- Master's degree preferred.
