About the role
- The Registered Nurse is responsible for the coordination of clinical activities for the Medical/Surgical patient.
- Activities include, but are not limited to, use of the nursing process in the utilization of skills in organization, planning, implementing, evaluating, and providing care as it relates to the specific needs of the patient.
- Registered Nurses also supervise the activities of Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Assistants and Certified Nursing Assistants.

Requirements
- Lifting at least 50 pounds is required.
- Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.

Nice to have
- Successfully completed Board Certified Nursing Program.
- Current LA RN licensure.
- The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off.
- Basic EKG preferred or obtained within 6 months of hire.
Skills
- Registered Nurses work within the framework of the State Nurse Practice Act and follow hospital policies and procedures.
