About the role

We are seeking a motivated Mortgage Loan Setup Specialist committed to playing an integral role on the Victory Mortgage team.
Enjoy working in a fast-paced, detail-heavy role that keeps loan files moving efficiently.
Adapt quickly to changing needs, exercise sound judgment, and stay effective under pressure.

Can manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and follow-up tasks with a high level of accuracy.
Communicate effectively and build strong working relationships with Loan Officers, Underwriters, and internal partners.
In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service, develop strong working relationships with internal partners, and support the loan transaction process from submission through underwriting preparation.
Maintain accurate, organized, and complete loan files throughout the submission and underwriting process.

Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Must be able to perform repetitive motions and use fine motor skills (i.e. typing, writing) to operate office supplies (i.e. computer, calculator, copier).
Must be able to lift and carry approximately 20-25lbs unassisted.
Must be able to sit for long periods of time with low periods of reaching and standing.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills, strong organizational ability, sound judgment, adaptability, and a customer-service orientation.
Physical demands and work environment:
Must be able to use sensory skills (i.e. verbal communication) to effectively communicate and interact with other Associates and customers.

Two- or four-year degree in Business or a related field is preferred.
Prior mortgage lending experience in processing, origination, or post-closing is preferred.
One year of experience in an organizational role that requires multitasking and efficiency is preferred.

Review loan files submitted by Loan Officers to assess accuracy, completeness, and overall submission quality.
Complete required system checklists and ensure all necessary documentation is included before underwriting review.
Process Verification of Employment requests and other employment documentation needed for loan approval.
Prepare and submit loan files to Underwriting within established service-level timelines.
Order and coordinate required third-party services, including title work, appraisals, fraud reports, and condominium documentation.
Obtain required documentation and eligibility information for government loan programs, including FHA, VA, and USDA loans.
