About the role
- Role This role is for a Data Architect on a close-knit team supporting Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) at Hurlburt Field, FL.
- This team is at the center of helping the command empower and leverage its data for more effective analysis and decision making.
- As a subject matter expert, the Data Architect will leverage their experience to gather and derive insights from complex data, assist the command with development initiatives, and facilitate digital transformation efforts.
Responsibilities
- Data Architects develop models, policies, and standards to govern what data is collected, how it is stored, arranged, and integrated for use in systems across the enterprise.
- A Data Architect shall perform the following tasks:
- Work with database administrators and analysts to secure easy access to data by creating database solutions, evaluating requirements, and preparing design reports
Requirements
- A minimum of 1 year of hands-on Data Science experience is required.
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field is required.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with DoD
- Master's degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
Skills
- Define data architecture framework, standards and principles related to modeling, metadata, and security
- Define reference architectures and data flows
- Prepare detailed reports for leadership and Directorates by analyzing and interpreting data
